University of Chicago Library News: The College
December 2012
The next quarterly due date is on Friday, January 11th. Please return items by that date or renew them online starting on Monday, December 17th.
Crerar, Mansueto, and Regenstein will extend weekend building hours Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th. Mansueto will be open both days until 12:45 a.m. Crerar and Regenstein will be open these days until 1:00 a.m. The All-Night Study Space (the first floor of Regenstein) will be open 24 hours until the end of finals, Friday December 14. Please consult the Library hours page for detailed information.
To accommodate Law School students who will be preparing final papers and completing take-home exams in the building, there will be limited access to the D'Angelo Law Library for non-law students from Thursday, December 6th to Friday, December 14th (the Law School's reading and exam period). The Library will continue to be accessible to students who need access to legal materials or who would like to work with one of the reference librarians.
Items checked out from the Library may be recalled at any time: even during winter break! To avoid fines, you may wish to return items before leaving campus or arrange a means of returning recalled items if you are away. To help you and your fellow borrowers avoid this situation, the Library recommends using UBorrow instead of recalling items whenever possible.
Bored over winter break? Why not brush up on your cooking, watch some vintage TV, or read some books provided by the Class of 2000 Book Fund? Explore some of the fun collections available from the Library during your break.
