Did you know that JSTOR does not include recent issues of many journals? Or that you may be missing some key publications when you use ArticlesPlus? Expand your search by using one of the hundreds of other research databases the Library offers. Our Library Guides will direct you to the best databases to search by subject, major, or type of resource (newspapers, films, data, etc.).
Current second-year and fourth-year students are welcome to submit entries for the T. Kimball Brooker Prize for undergraduate book collecting. Mr. Brooker (Ph.D.1996) established the Prize to foster a love of the book and to encourage book collecting among undergraduates. One $1,000 prize will be awarded to a fourth-year student, and one $500 prize to a second-year student. See past winners.
A competitive award for excellence and clarity in science writing, the John Crerar Writing Prize acknowledges the ability of an undergraduate to produce a paper, on a scientific topic, which is thorough in its arguments but accessible to a broad readership. First prize is $1500 and second prize is $500. The winning papers are published in the Chicago Biological Investigator (CBI).
