Controlled Trials (CCTR) _____________________________ The database consists of over 350,000 bibliographic references to controlled trials in health care, and imposes quality control standards on included references to ensure that only reports of definite randomized controlled trials or controlled clinical trials are included. Many of these studies were published in major journals and approximately 69% of citations are from MEDLINE or EMBASE ( EMBASE, the Excerpta Medica database, is a biomedical and pharmacological database about medical and drug-related subjects ~ similar to Medline) The remaining citations include nonstandard reports of unpublished studies as well as conference reports.
