Description: A powerful content search database for the texts in more than one million Chinese publications.
Resource Type : Full text searchable but due to the copy right compliance, users could only access limited pages for any given item. For complete reading of an item, therefore, the user needs to find the publication from a library or through interlibrary loan.

Description: Provide index to periodical and newspaper articles published in mainland China. Although it claims to cover 1857 to the present, the degree of comprehensiveness varies from period to period with 1949 to the present to be the most comprehensive. ii. CD-ROM/DVD Database:

Si Ku Quan Shu (四库全书)
Description: This CDROM database is an electronic version of the renowned Siku Quanshu, a comprehensive selection and compilation of Chinese scholarly books available in 18th centenary (the early Qing period). The set contains more than 3,400 titles of Chinese books in almost all scholarly subjects at the time. In addition to the full text for the set, the database provides powerful search capability to the text. Caution needs to be exercised, however, that the Qing compilation involved censorship, and the edition selected in the set was not always the best edition.

Si Bu Cong Kan (四部丛刊)
Description: Full text searchable database-- an electronic version of the renowned Chinese series Sibu congkan containing 504 historical Chinese works, which were carefully selected by scholars and published by the Commercial Press in 1919-1936. These works represent some of the best achievements made by the pre-modern Chinese scholarship on various subjects.

Zhong Guo Li Dai Shi Ke Shi Liao Hui Bian (A collection of stone inscriptions of the imperial China, 中国历代石刻史料汇编)
Description: Contains a comprehensive collection of stone inscriptions from the ancient to the pre-modern period of China; fully searchable.

Chinese Cultural Revolution Database
Description: A full-text searchable database containing comprehensive primary sources on Chinese Cultural Revolution, a turbulent decade (1966-1976) in the history of contemporary China. The sources collected in the database include Chinese Communist Party (CCP) documents, directives, speeches and works by Mao Zedong and other CCP officials of the period, official newspaper editorials, and selected Red-Guard documents.

Chinese Anti-Rightist Campaign Database 1957--
Description: A full-text searchable database containing comprehensive primary sources on Chinese Anti-Rightist Campaign. The sources collected in the database include government documents, directives, bulletins, speeches by Mao Zedong and other officials, major newspaper editorials, published "Rightist" views and their denunciations.

The People’s Daily 1946-2003 (人民日报)
