There are countless sites offering access to electronic texts. EFTS provides links to some central Web sites which collect and index such texts, but our general policy has been only to link directly to "searchable" texts or texts where one finds added value through hypertext links and the like.
The Library offers workshops and tutorials for the University of Chicago community on searching full-text databases available through EFTS. Once a month an open course is offered in the Electronic Classroom, JRL 153, to those interested in full-text manipulation in general. Patrons can also arrange for tutorials or workshops at other times and on particular databases. Faculty and preceptors are especially encouraged to set up classroom instruction tailored to their specific courses. To set up tutorials and workshops please contact: Catherine Mardikes, ETS Coordinator, JRL 471; 702-2783; c-mardikes@uchicago.edu.
