Printing Instructions
- HeinOnline
- Select "Print/Download Options," which can be found on the right side of the menu bar immediately above the text of the document. This will bring up the "HeinOnline Print/Download Utilities" menu.
- Choose "Download as PDF." (Note that you will have the option of downloading either the entire document or just the page you are currently viewing.) This will open up the document (or document page) as a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat. You can then download, e-mail, or print the PDF file through Acrobat using the appropriate commands found in the left hand corner of the Acrobat toolbar at the top of the screen.
- LLMC Digital
- The default format for documents viewed on LLMC Digital is a page image that can be printed through your Internet browser by selecting the "Print" icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.
- Directly above the print icon is a drop-down menu that lets you switch the format from a page image to a PDF or HTML file. If the document is converted to a PDF file you can then download, e-mail, or print the PDF file through Acrobat using the appropriate commands found in the left hand corner of the Acrobat toolbar.
- Immediately to the right of the drop-down format menu is a another drop-down page menu that lets you select and then print, download, or e-mail multiple pages through Adobe after document has been converted to a PDF file.
- Westlaw
- West reporter documents available in PDF format will have a "West Reporter Image (PDF)" icon in the top left hand corner of the first screen of the document. Selecting this icon should download the document as a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat. Sometimes, however, this method does not work.
- An alternative is to select the general "Print" icon, which can be found in the top right hand corner of the Westlaw document screen. This will open up the Westlaw "Print/Download - Web Page Dialog" menu in a separate browser window.
- Next, click on the "West Reporter Image (PDF)" button in the bottom right hand corner of the print/download menu. This will download the document as a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat.
- Note, however, that whichever method you use the PDF file will download in a separate pop-up window, so that you may need to override your pop-up blocker in order to allow the PDF file to download properly. A manual override may be necessary even if you previously configured your pop-up blocker to generally allow pop-ups from the http://westlaw.com Web site.
- Once the document has been successfully downloaded as a PDF file you can then download, e-mail, or print the file through Acrobat using the appropriate commands found in the left hand corner of the Acrobat toolbar at the top of the screen. You will only be able to print the document to an attached or network printer, however, and not a Westlaw printer. Westlaw PDF Documents printed from a Law School printer will be charged against your student account just as any other document would.
