Knowledge enriches life, as we are reminded
by the University's motto at the entrance to Regenstein Library. Every
time I read it I smile in agreement, for life validates daily the truth
of this statement. It accounts for how fondly I regard my student days,
how thoroughly I enjoy my participation in the Library Society, and how
deeply I feel about supporting the Library.
I am delighted therefore to welcome you
to the Library Society's Web site and invite you to participate in our
group. The Library Society brings together book collectors, researchers,
authors, readers, alumni, and all who love books to help maintain the
excellence of the Library's collections. Please take a moment to look
at the acquisitions we have funded, the endowment and projects we have
supported, and the dynamic programs we host. We are making a profound
impact on the the Library, so please join us in ensuring a lively and
dynamic future for the life of the mind at the University.
