Our Mission
|
The Joseph Regenstein Library's mission for teaching and learning is to promote the development and use of information literacy skills--to locate, identify, use, and interpret information effectively--in the University community and to promote the role of the Library as a resource for lifelong learning.
The Joseph Regenstein Library promotes information literacy and lifelong learning in the following ways:
- By helping students, faculty, and staff at the University become familiar with the Library and its resources.
- By developing library teaching and learning resources for students, faculty, and staff in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
- By encouraging a partnership between the Library and instructors in curriculum development to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- By promoting the use of critical thinking skills that can be applied in the academic environment and in the larger world.
