- Datastream [electronic resource].
- A database of global financial and economic information with comprehensive,
historical coverage on over 140,000 securities and instruments from
markets worldwide. Provides up to 40 years of history, including coverage
of equities, indices, economics, commodities, forex, interest rates,
fixed income instruments, and derivatives. Allows you to evaluate investment
opportunities and corporate performance, compare international markets,
analyze fund holdings and manage portfolios. Contains current and historical
statistics on equities, indexes, investment trusts, warrants, bonds
interest rates, exchange rates, commodities, and macroeconomic data
for both U.S. and foreign countries. There are 3 different versions
you may search - Advance, via MS Excel, or DSWindows (telnet). Advance
is the easiest to use but provides less data. Dedicated terminals are
located in the Walker Computer Lab and on the first floor of Regenstein
Library. An Advance guide

- Companion to various Mediamark Research reports. CD-ROM providing
detailed demographic and marketing segements of media audiences. Cross
tabulates product/service data by media audience and demographic characteristics
(who buys what).
- Mergers & acquisitions [electronic resource].
- This application connects to SDC's full database of information. Of
the eight available applications that SDC offers the GSB now has three
- Venture Xperts, Global New Issue and Mergers and Acquisitions - available
in the Walker Computer Lab 307. The library offers Mergers & Acquistions.
- Value line investment survey for Windows [computer file].
- Current issues of print counterpart, The Value line investment
survey (HG4501.V26), available from Regenstein Circulation. Outlines
company financial information intended to help investors make informed
decisions that fit their individual goals and level of risk. Forecasts
stock price performance relative to other stocks and provides interpretive
analysis of about 1,700 individual stocks and over 90 industries. Includes
historical information. Updated monthly.
- World Bank Africa database [computer file].
- Provides 1500 indicators of macroeconomic, sectoral and social data,
covering 53 African countries. Time series include data from 1970 to
1997. Includes two sets of tables: At-a-Glance and African Development
Indicators. Also contains two tools for data display: Query and Africa
Briefings. Query allows display of 1300 time series; Africa Briefings
allows preformatted display and analysis of key selected indicators
for countries and groups.

file]: colonial times to 1970.
- Corresponds to the print source, Historical statistics of the United
States, colonial times to 1970. Contains all 57 chapters, including
over 12,500 time series and the descriptive text. Material is presented
in three ways: as an electronic book using the program DynaText, as
Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet files, and as tab-delimited text files.

Online Information Service (POLIS) Database from 1979 onwards. Some
