Historical Note

The Biology Club at the University of Chicago provided a venue for visiting and current faculty to share their research with students. Run by undergraduates the Club arranged an average of two lectures a quarter, inviting faculty in the biological sciences and the hospital, as well as graduates students.

Scope Note

The Biology Club Papers consist of a scrapbook and one folder with material from 1912 to 1950. The scrapbook contains some memos and notes written by the student officers of the club, but it is mainly composed of the announcements of lectures sponsored by the Club. The folder contains various notes pertaining to the Club.
