The Caroline Hutchinson Ryerson Collection consist of the booklet, "A Pageant of Carissima" (1909), compiled by Elizabeth Wallace, including poems, letters, and drawings by Harry Pratt Judson, L. P. and G. E. Vincent, Wallace Heckman, Rollin D. Salisbury, "Jacobus Angelo," and Paul Shorey.

Biographical Note

Caroline Hutchinson Ryerson was born to Charles and Emily (Smith) Hutchinson in 1859. She married Martin A. Ryerson, philanthropist and University of Chicago Board of Trustees president, on October 26, 1881. Caroline Hutchinson Ryerson was an avid traveler and active in civic and philanthrophic affairs in Chicago. She died in 1937.

Scope Note

The Caroline Hutchinson Ryerson Collection consist of the booklet, "A Pageant of Carissima," compiled in honor of Ryerson by Elizabeth Wallace "under the auspices of the Elizabethan Society of Antiquarians. It includes poems, letters, and drawings by Harry Pratt Judson, L. P. and G. E. Vincent, Wallace Heckman, Rollin D. Salisbury, "Jacobus Angelo," and Paul Shorey, 1909.
