Biographical Note

John Christlieb Curtiss attended Beloit College Academy, a preparatory school for Beliot College, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Chicago from 1895 to 1896 but did not receive a degree.

Scope Note

The John Christlieb Curtiss Papers consist of a notebook dated from 1896 to 1903. It is titled "Guest Book of Ye Olde Museum belonging to John Christlieb Curtiss at 395 W. Monroe St. In ye town of Chicago." The notebook contains a photograph of Curtiss from 1900 as well as addresses and notes from friends and visitors.
