Historical Note

In 1898 the University of Chicago established a school for professional business training, called the College of Commerce and Politics. The College would eventually become the Graduate School of Business. In 1920 the Business School created the first doctoral program in its field. Today the Business School has campuses in Hyde Park, Downtown Chicago, Barcelona, and Singapore.

The Graduate School of Business Records contain correspondence, memoranda, press releases, schedules, papers, and other material regarding a seminar of banking (1974-1976). Also includes records of the GSB's Department of Publications (1935-1972).
