Abstract:

This collection consists of one scrapbook compiled by Vesta Jameson, an undergraduate at the University of Chicago from 1904 to 1908. The scrapbook contains photographs, event programs, correspondence, and other ephemera from her time at the university.

Biographical Note

Vesta Jameson was born on February 21, 1886 in Creston, Iowa. She attended the University of Chicago from 1904 to 1908, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, and returned to do graduate work in the summer of 1924. During her undergraduate years, Jameson played on the women's basketball team and served on the Literature College Executive Committee. Jameson died in July 1965.

Scope Note

This collection contains one scrapbook of materials from the years 1904-1908. It includes personal mementos and other ephemera, photographs, correspondence, calling cards and dance cards, ticket stubs and event programs, pins, ribbons, tuition bills, and news clippings.
