| Abstract: | The Jury Project of the University of Chicago Law School was begun in the early fifties as part of an effort by the Law School to integrate the techniques of the social sciences into legal research. The Records contain case summaries, juror interviews, completed questionnaires, trial transcripts, reports, working papers, student papers, and audiotapes. |

The Jury Project of the University of Chicago Law School was begun in the early fifties as part of an effort by the Law School to integrate the techniques of the social sciences into legal research. The project was funded primarily by the Ford Foundation.
The Jury Project Records contain case summaries, juror interviews, completed questionnaires, trial transcripts, reports, working papers, student papers, and audiotapes. Using mock trials, the project was part of an effort by the Law School to integrate social science research methodology into legal research.
The Jury Project Records consist of five series: Series I: Case Summaries, Jury Interviews, and Trial Reports; Series II: Papers produced in conjunction with the Jury Project; Series III: Working papers of the Jury Project; Series IV: Student papers; Series V: Audiotapes.
