Secretaries of the University of Chicago Board of Trustees included Thomas W. Goodspeed (1891-1912), J. Spencer Dickerson (1913-1926), John F. Moulds (1927-1944), Wilbur C. Munnecke (1945-1948), Lyndon H. Lesch, (acting, 1948), R. W. Harrison (acting, 1949), and Howard H. Moore (1950-1962).
The collection includes letters relating to the administrative and financial actions of the Board of Trustees and its committees; acknowledgments of endowments and other gifts to the University; communications regarding fund-raising and development programs; and official notices of all appointments, promotions, and salaries of University faculty and staff.
