  • PLANTS Database The PLANTS Database provides a single source of standardized information about plants. PLANTS provides standardized plant names, symbols and other plant attribute information.

  • European Register of Marine Species Research consortium funded by the European Union under the MAST (Marine Science and Technology) programme.

  • FishBase FishBase is like en encyclopedia, with key data on the biology of all fishes.

  • Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Fisheries Department FAO's Major Programme on Fisheries focuses its activities through programmes in Fishery Resources, Fishery Policy, Fishery Industries, and Fishery Information.

  • Freshwater and Marine Image Bank An ongoing digital collection of images related to freshwater and marine topics, in all their diversity. Includes over 15,000 images of fish, shellfish, and marine mammals, pictures of fish hatcheries and dams and vessels, materials related to polar exploration, regional and traditional fisheries, and limnological (freshwater) subjects dating from 1735 to 1924.   • Marine Organisms Database This is a database of approximately 210 invertebrates and fish that are collected or maintained by the Aquatic Resources Division of the Marine Resources Department, Woods Hole.

  • Marine Mammal Species Resources National Marine Mammal Laboratory.

  • National Marine Fisheries Service Historic Image Collection Images from an 1880's study by George Brown Goode, Deputy Commissioner of the United States Commission of Fish and Fisheries.

  • NOAA Fisheries Service NOAA Fisheries is a part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NMFS administers NOAA's programs which support the domestic and international conservation and management of living marine resources.

  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service "Working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish and wildlife and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people."
