Academic genealogies are an tool for mapping an intellectual "family tree" of relationships among Ph.D. research advisors and Ph.D. degree recipients. Many individual chemists have developed their personal genealogies which are usually found doing a simple web search (e.g., on Google). A few instutions have academic genealogies of, or including, chemists with an association with that particular university. Some of these are listed here:
