I understand that this agreement gives me permission to photocopy materials for my personal research use only and that it does not give me permission to publish, use on a webpage, or further reproduce any of the materials examined or copied by me. I also understand that this agreement does not give me permission to provide copies of CJA materials to others. I understand that due to copyright restrictions, the CJA does not provide copying services for media materials in its collections.
I understand that the Chicago Jazz Archive and the University of Chicago Library may not be the holders of the copyright, literary, or performance rights to material examined or copied from Archive collections. I agree to be solely responsible for contacting and obtaining any necessary permissions from the holders of the rights in Archive materials used. I further agree to assume all responsibility and liability for any infringement of copyright, literary, performance, or other rights and royalties that may result from my use of Archive materials. Before quoting, publishing, reproducing or performing from Archive materials I agree to obtain and use the correct credit line for materials used from the Chicago Jazz Archive's collections, and to credit the Chicago Jazz Archive for materials and assistance rendered to me.
I understand that under the restrictions placed by the donors, reproduction of Jazz Institute oral history transcripts is for personal research only, and is limited to no more than three (3) sets of three (3)consecutive pages and that no copies may be made of the taped oral histories themselves.
