Ed Stiernberg was a contemporary of Joe Segal, owner of Chicago's Jazz Showcase, when both were students at Roosevelt University.
In 1997 Mr. Stiernberg gave photos taken by him to the Chicago Jazz Archive. They depict Joe Segal at the Roosevelt record listening club, and Muggsy Spanier, Pee Wee Russell, and Miff Mole from the October 16, 1948 Dave Garroway concert at the Chicago Opera House.
