Periodical Directories and Lists

The following books, web sites and directories can help you identify journals in education.

If you would like to see if the Library has a specific journal in its collection, you can search the Library Catalog, Lens, and the E-Journals Database. If you need to find articles, you will need to search an education database.

Lists of Education Journals

• Journals Indexed in ERIC
  Access this list from the link on the omepage of the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC).
• Open Access Journals in the Field of Education
  This compiliation is from the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Special Interest Group includes links to open access, scholarly electronic journals.

Online Periodical Directories

• Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory
  This is an international listing of periodicals in all subject areas. Information for each title includes notes about readership, circulation, price, publishing history, and contact information. The electronic version is searchable in a variety of ways. The most recent print editions locate in the reference departments of Regenstein, Crerar, and D'Angelo Law Libraries with the call number Z6941.P44.
• Journal Citation Reports
  The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) compiles and publishes these citation studies based on the data from the references contained in the journals indexed in Web of Science. Journal Citation Reports is one of the options available from the ISI Web of Knowledge which also includes the Web of Science and Current Contents.
• Directory of Open Access Journals
  Maintained at the University of Lund, this directory includes listings for covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals.
