Reviews Online (EMRO)
Sponsored by the Libraries at SUNY-Buffalo, this is a freely
available database of reviews of videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs from
major educational and documentary distributors. Reviews are written
primarily by librarians and faculty from institutions across the
U.S. and Canada. It was formerly The AV Review Database of
MC Journal: The Journal of
Academic Media Librarianship.
Harvard Educational Review
Selected content from the current issue, including book reviews, is
freely available at the journal's website. Because the Library
subscribes to the journal, (L11.H33 Regenstein 4th Floor Reading
Room for bound volumes and 2nd floor Reading Room for current
issues), those with UofC computing accounts can access
electronic full-text dating back to 1993 (follow the
instructions to log on).
Lion and the Unicorn
This is a journal, published three times per year, that is devoted
to scholarly discussion of children's literature. It includes book
reviews. The online full-text (restricted to UofC) is from Project
Muse. The recent issues of the print copy locate in Regenstein
Reading Room 2nd floor, and the bound volumes are in the bookstacks
[PN1009.A1L76].
Teachers
