The American Cancer Society has an excellent page on the issue of choosing your doctor. See their "Choosing a Doctor" page for important questions you should ask.   • American Board of Medical Specialties This service allows the public to verify FREE OF CHARGE the board certification status, location by city and state and specialty of any physician certified by one or more of the 24 Member Boards of the ABMS. Important Notice: This site is not approved by the JCAHO and NCQA for commercialdoc use to verify credentials of physician specialists.   • American Dental Association Member Directory The "ADA Member Directory" ("Directory") is compiled and published by the American Dental Association ("ADA") as a reference source of demographic and professional information on individual dentists in the United States  

  • American Medical Association - Physician Select AMA Physician Select provides information on virtually every licensed physician in the United States and its possessions, including more than 650,000 doctors of medicine (MD) and doctors of osteopathy or osteopathic medicine (DO).  In Print: Directory of physicians in the United States / American Medical Association.
