The Library provides access to materials in support of classroom instruction and university-related research not available in the University of Chicago Library collections through its Interlibrary Loan service. University of Chicago faculty, students and staff can use Interlibrary Loan at no charge. You may make a request for any item you need and the Library will do its best to obtain an original photocopy or digital document for you. Materials generally take 7 working days to receive, however some items may take longer. You will be notified when the requested items have arrived. Individuals who request journal articles will, in most cases, be able to download their request using a web browser through our Electronic Document Delivery service. You will simply need to log into the Interlibrary Loan system with your CNet ID and password to retrieve your article. These articles can be viewed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you request a book you may pick up material at the Crerar Circulation Desk.If for any reason ILL is not able to fill your request, you can try an alternative source if you're willing to pay - try a commercialdoc document delivery supplier.
