  • Dirline DIRLINE (Directory of Information Resources Online) is the National Library of Medicine's online database containing location and descriptive information about organizations, research resources, projects, databases, and electronic bulletin boards concerned with health and biomedicine.  
  • The American Hospital Directory Provides on-line, comparative data for most hospitals. The database is built from Medicare claims data, cost reports, and other public use files obtained from the federal Health Care Financing Administration.  
  • Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations - Quality CheckTM The Joint Commission accredits nearly 18,000 health care organizations and programs. JCAHO new service, Quality checkTM, allows individuals to "check up" on the performance of their local health care facility, whether it's a hospital, a surgery center, a nursing home or another type of health care organization.
