Electronic Journals

Look for the Web Access entry in the catalog to see if a journal is available electronically.

Biomedical Unbound (Recent issues)

Under "Collection", note that it says "Biomedical Journals, floor 1 Crerar." This is how you know where the journal is shelved.

Bookstacks

In this example, there are two copies of this journal available. In the example below,

  • Copy 4 is shelved by "Shelved by title in the Sci stacks." This means the second floor.
  • Copy 1 is shelved by call number (T1.S5) on the third floor. You can tell this because there is no "Shelved by title" note.

If you want to see what volumes are available for each copy, click on the "show items" button and a list of available volumes will display.

Confused? Please ask for assistance at the reference desk.

Reserve

Under "Collection", note that it says "Crerar Reserve, floor 1". This is how you know to go to the reserves desk for this journal. Just let the Circulation/Reserves staff know what volume of the journal you want to check out.

Dewey Decimal

"Under "Collection", note that it says "Crerar Dewey Coll". This is how you know to go to the lower level to check the Dewey collection.

If you have any questions about resources or services available to the biomedical sciences community please contact Deb Werner, Biomedical Reference Librarian or Christa Modschiedler, Biomedical Bibliographer & Reference Librarian. You may also email the Crerar Reference Staff.
