- Film Literature Index: Includes citations to articles appearing in well-known film journals, "specialized, exotic, and fugitive film publications," as well as television and video periodicals. No plans to update the online resource. NOTE: coverage for 1971-1976 and 2002- present is provided by the print volumes of Film Literature Index (call # Z5784.M9F48 RR3).
- International FilmArchive Database (1972-) The FIAF International FilmArchive Database contains several databases: the International Index to Film
Periodicals, the International Index to Television Periodicals, the List of Periodicals Indexed, the Treasures from the Film Archives, the Bibliography of FIAF Members Publications and the International Directory of Film and TV Documentation Collections. The main database, International Index to Film Periodicals, contains almost 230,000 article references from more than 300 periodicals on films, personalities, prizes and awards, and more. It offers in-depth coverage of the worlds foremost academic and popular film journals from 1972 to the present and can be searched by subject, film or television program, actor, and director. To access the on-line version, select the indexes on the list and click on "Start Searching."
- International Index to the Performing Arts: Indexes over 200 international periodicals that cover all aspects of the performing arts, including dance, film, drama/theater, stagecraft, broadcast arts, circus performance, comedy, storytelling, pantomime, puppetry, magic, and the performance business.

- ABELL: Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature; 1920-2002: Includes monographs, periodical articles, critical editions of literary works, book reviews, collections of essays and doctoral dissertations published anywhere in the world. Coverage begins wlith 1920.
- AIDA: Articoli italiani di periodici accademici / Bibliography of Italian Periodical Literature; 1997-present: AIDA provides bibliographic information on well over 100.000 journal articles from 968 journals covering the Humanities and Social Sciences. Focusing on journals published in Italy, AIDA is the main bibliographic index for Italian literature and the Humanities for the years 1997ff.
- Bibliographie der deutschen Sprach-und Literaturwissenschaft (Eppelsheimer-Köttelwesch); 1985-2003: A principal resource for German language and literature studies. The online version contains about 250,000 references, between 1985-2003; about 15,000 new entries are added every year. The bibliography is available in print in the Stacks at Z2231.B6 for pre-1969 issues and in RR3 for issues from 1969 to latest at Z2231.B6.
- CINDOC (Centro de Información y Documentación Científica): This database, provided by the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, indexes articles and contributions appearing in journals and proceedings published in Spain, many of them highly specialized and not indexed elsewhere. To limit your search to Spanish language and literature, go to: ISOC - Lengua y Literatura. Most entries are recent, but coverage goes back to the 1960s for select titles.
- ITALINEMO (italianistica nel mondo); 1999-: provides indexes and abstracts to the contents of periodicals in Italian literary and cultural studies. Currently indexes over 90 journals, with coverage starting in 1999. Containing over 15,000 articles, the scope of ITALINEMO is limited but the database is steadily growing. Includes reviews.
- Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts, 1973-: Covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Coverage is also given to various fields of linguistics including descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical and geographicallinguistics.
- MLA: Modern Language Association Bibliography; 1963-: The primary resource for literary research; indexes over 4,000 journals in the fields of literature, languages, linguistics, and folklore. Coverage begins with 1963 and the database is updated 10 times per year; for coverage from 1921 on consult print at Z7006.M67 Gen.

- International Medieval Bibliography,1967-: Covers the whole range of medieval studies and includes articles from journals and festschriften. Select "Enter Databases" and click on "Go" to start your search.
- Iter: Iter's bibliography includes literature pertaining to the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700). Citations for books, journal material (articles, reviews, review articles, bibliographies, catalogues, abstracts and discographies) are included, as are citations for essays in books (including entries in conference proceedings, festschriften, encyclopedias and exhibition catalogues). Iter indexes over 1,000 scholarly journal titles, published since 1842, and close to 50,000 monographs pertaining to the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Select "Search a Database" to start.

- Victorian Database Online: Contains over 100,000 records listing books, articles, and dissertation abstracts published from 1945 to 1999 on every field of nineteenth-century British studies.
Note: The Victorian Database Online is separate from the Victorian Bibliography Online, which is an annual bibliography published in the Summer issue of the journal Victorian Studies (VS) by Indiana University Press. The bibliography is also available via Project Muse.
- Wellesley Index to Victorian Periodicals, 1824-1900: Included in C19: The Nineteenth Century. Covers over 45 major Victorian periodicals. Although of primary interest to those studying literature, history, and Victorian life, it also includes articles on politics, religion, economics, art, science, archaeology, and philosophy. Also available on CD-ROM in the Reference Collection in the 1st floor reading room of Regenstein.
- Times (of London) Digital Archive, 1785-1985: The full text of the Times of London from 1785 to 1985. Contains full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue.

- Historical Abstracts (1970-): The principal index for historical research; indexes articles from journals covering historical topics from around the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada). Entries are annotated; updated monthly.
- America: History and Life. The fundamental indexing and abstracting tool for American and Canadian history. Abstracts and indexes articles and reviews from 2,000 journals published worldwide from 1954. Database also includes citations to abstracts of dissertations published in these areas. Updated monthly.
- Times (of London) Digital Archive, 1785-1985: The full text of the Times of London from 1785 to 1985. Contains full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue.
- Royal Historical Society Bibliography: the History of Britain, Ireland, and the British Overseas. Based essentially upon the content of Writings on British History (1901-1974) and the Annual Bibliography of British and Irish History (1975- ), the work includes over 330,000 searchable citations. Users may search the database from 1946 using a fully-featured search; or entire database using more restricted search criteria. Materials published since 1992 may be searched using the specialized subject classification also. Site also includes a special 25,000-item bibliography for the history of London.
- Index Deutschsprachiger Zeitschriften, 1750-1815 (IDZ): From the Akademie der Wissenschaften, Göttingen, Germany and part of GBV, the index of German-language magazines (IDZ) contains about 100,000 articles from 195 German-language magazines of the years 1750 to 1815. The database indexes, for example, Deutsche Monatsschrift, Deutsches Museum, Hamburgisches Magazin, Journal zur Kunstgeschichte und zur Allgemeinen Litteratur, London und Paris, Minerva, and Bibliothek der schönen Wissenschaften und der freyen Künste.

- Handbook of Latin American Studies (HLAS): The Handbook is a selective annotated bibliography of scholarly works on Latin America. Include books, journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers in the disciplines of anthropology(including archaeology, ethnohistory and ethnology), art, economics, geography, government and politics, history, international relations, literature, music, philosophy, and sociology. HLAS may now also be searched via the EUREKA search interface, providing advanced search features.
- ClasePeriodica.Index of Latin American journals in the sciences and humanities. Produced by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), CLASE indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences and humanities (1975 to present). PERIODICA covers journals specializing in science and technology (1978 to present). This database combining CLASE and PERIODICA indexes over 2,600 scholarly journals published in the Spanish, Portuguese, French and English languages and contains more than 300,000 bibliographic citations. Includes information from articles, essays, book reviews, monographs, conference proceedings, technical reports, interviews and brief notes published in journals edited in 24 different countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from publications that focus on Pan-American issues.
- Hispanic American Periodicals Index: HAPI provides authoritative, worldwide information about Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean basin, the United States-Mexico border region, and Hispanics in the United States. Includes articles published in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish from more than 400 scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences. Updated annually, it covers 1970 to the present and includes more than 210,000 records.
- CARINDEX: Indexes the contents of some 70 West Indian journals, published within in the Caribbean region. It also includes theses and papers presented at conferences. CARINDEX covers publications in the social sciences and humanities from 1983 onwards, with priority being given to indexing materials of immediate relevance to the teaching and research at the three campuses of the University of the West Indies.
- Caribbean Abstracts: Contains abstracts in English of selected books and articles in the humanities and social sciences published since 1989. The publications are selected for their importance or the topicality of the subject.\
- Chicano Database: The Chicano Database is a comprehensive bibliographic index representing all types of material for information about Mexican-American topics and the only specialized database for and about Chicanos. Updated quarterly, the Chicano Database provides extensive coverage from the 1960s to the present, with selective coverage dating back to the early 1900s. Records added since 1992 have expanded its scope to include the broader Latino experience, including Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans, and Central American immigrants.

Coverage begins with 1975.
- British Humanities Index: Indexes over 320 humanities journals and weekly magazines, as well as selected newspapers published in the UK and the United States. Covers 1962 to the present.
- Chicano Database: The Chicano Database is a comprehensive bibliographic index representing all types of material for information about Mexican-American topics and the only specialized database for and about Chicanos. Updated quarterly, the Chicano Database provides extensive coverage from the 1960s to the present, with selective coverage dating back to the early 1900s. - IBZ: Internationale Bibliographie der Zeitschriftenliteratur aus allen Gebieten des Wissens: International in coverage, the IBZ includes journal articles from over 11,000 English and European periodicals, books, and dissertations.
