general information

Most music materials are located in the third-floor stacks. Selected reference books, periodicals, monumental score series, and composers' complete works editions are located in the northern half of the third-floor reading room. (These materials do not circulate outside the building.)

Music audio recordings are housed in the Recordings Collection on the third floor, Room JRL360. Video recordings and multi-media materials, musical and otherwise, are held in the Circulation/Reserve department on the first floor of the library. Audio-visual equipment is available in the third-floor reading room for auditioning or viewing recordings.

Rare music books and scores are housed in the Department of Special Collections on the first floor of the library.
