"This is the major online initiative by the Society for the Teaching of
Psychology to develop and disseminate materials of direct interest to teachers
at all levels of instruction. The site includes a broad range of resources including
Project Syllabus's more than 80 peer-reviewed syllabi, the annual Compendium
of Introductory Psychology Textbooks, and many other items."

This is a compilation of information from the American
Psychological Society (APS) and includes articles on teaching from past
issues of the APS Observer.
Society
for the Teaching of Psychology
The Society is Division 2 of the American Psychological Association and offers
a portal webpage, teachpsych.org,
that links to the Society homepage, the Office
of Teaching Resources in Psychology (OTRP), and the homepage of the Society's
journal, Teaching of Psychology.
A major feature offered by the Society is teachpsyc.links
which is "a directory of selected Internet resources which have a broad
usefulness for teachers and students of psychology."
National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology
(NITOP)
This annual event is "for teachers of psychology at two- and four-year
colleges, universities, and high schools, who wish to explore new ideas that
will enhance and broaden their teaching skills." NITOP is supported by
both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological
Society (APS).
Teachers of Psychology in
Secondary Schools (TOPSS)
TOPSS is an organization created, sponsored, andsupported by the American Psychological
Association. Its primary objectives are: promoting the scientific nature of
the introductory and advanced high school psychology courses; meeting the curricular
needs of high school psychology teachers; and providing opportunities for high
school students to be recognized and rewarded for their academic excellence.
The website offers information about the activities of TOPSS, lesson plans for
psychological topics, standards for teaching high school psychology, resources
for teachers, and links to related sites.
The TLT Group: Teaching, Learning, and Technology
This is a non-profit organization with a wide array of corporate sponsors and
participating higher education institutions. "The TLT Group programs help
institutions and individuals improve teaching and learning with the use of technology
through customized coaching and consultation, workshops, online resources, and
powerful tools. The TLT Group also has an extensive library of free print, video,
and web resources which can be found in the resources
section of this site."

Teaching of Psychology
This is the official journal of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. The Regenstein Library has subscribed to the print edition of this title since 1996, vol. 23; current issues are received in the 4th floor reading room and the bound volumes locate in the Regenstein bookstacks with the call number BF77.T43. The electronic full-text of the journal is available, beginning with volume 12 (1985) via EbscoHost's Academic Search Premier. Note, however, that there is a 12-month embargo period meaning that only abstracts are available for the most recent year. One can access the full-text of the most recent issues on Catchword where the electronic full-text of this title begins with volume 27 (2000).
