In the Library catalog, use the advanced keyword search:

For videorecordings of plays by a specific author search

shakespeare as AUTHOR and FORMAT LIMIT Films, Videos, DVDs, Slides, etc.

For videos of a specific play
Hamlet in the TITLE field and FORMAT LIMIT Films, Videos, DVDs, Slides, etc.

For videos involving a specific director or actor:
GENERAL KEYWORD macbeth and "judi dench" (in quotes) and FORMAT LIMIT Films, Videos, DVDs, Slides, etc.
