The University of Chicago Library
Circulation | Library Change of Address Policy
Whenever you change your address, please notify the Library as well as the Registrar and your Dean of Students. Because we do not share the Registrar's computer system, address changes made there do not automatically carry over to the Library's records. An address change made at one Library will be effective for all University of Chicago libraries. If you do not receive a Library notice because you have not changed your address with the Library, you will still be responsible for any fines/fees which accrue.

There are three different ways to change your address:

If you have any questions, please email email-notices@lib.uchicago.edu. Thanks!

Your Name:
Your library barcode:
Your library barcode appears immediately under the barcode on your Chicago Card or library card.
Your PIN:
For students, the Personal Identification Number (PIN) is your student identification number. Faculty, staff, and other library card holders should see Circulation desk staff at any campus library or email pin@lib.uchicago.edu to request a PIN number.

New Address Information:

The library encourages users to use email as a primary form of contact for library notices.
