UChicagoMaps provides directions to the University campus, including driving directions, public transit suggestions, and taxi/shuttle information.
Visitor parking is available for a fee at the Ellis Avenue Parking Garage (55th and Ellis). Street parking is available, but is difficult to find during the day.

All first-time visitors, regardless of eventual destination, are strongly encouraged to stop by the ID and Privileges Office in Regenstein Library. We also encourage visitors to the Special Collections Research Center to browse their pages for visiting researchers.
Library buildings are within walking distance from each other, however visitors traveling to/from SSA or Law may wish to use the daytime campus buses operated by the CTA.
When classes are in session, several coffee shops are open around campus. You may not even need to leave the building: Regenstein (eX Libris), Crerar (BreW), and Law (Law School Cafe) all offer coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Chicago Life provides a full list of campus dining options and eateries in Hyde Park. Note that many campus shops are closed or have reduced hours during interims and summer. (When in doubt, ask a Library staff member where they got their morning coffee...)
Pens, pencils and notebooks can be found at the University Bookstore. There is an Office Depot at 55th and Lake Park in the Hyde Park shopping center, and a Kinko's on 57th between Kenwood and Kimbark Avenues.
