We are sorry, but public pay phones are not available in the Library (nor elsewhere on campus).Where have all the payphones gone?
Campus phones are available in Regenstein Library (in the phone booth to the left of the main staircase on the 1st floor), Crerar Library (in the lobby), Harper Library (in the East Tower mezzanine), and the D'Angelo Law Library (in the elevator lobbies on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors). The campus public phones allow you to place on campus calls free of charge, as well as toll-free calls or calls using a phone card. University staff members also have the option of requesting an authcode, which allows you to make off-campus calls that are charged to a departmental account.
International and domestic cards compatible for use with all public campus telephones are available for purchase at the University Bookstore at 970 E. 58th Street.
