Getting Started at Rowley Library
Need to find information for a research project or paper? Visit your librarians at the Rowley Library. They can direct you to the many resources available to you at your library, and then can help you find materials elsewhere. (Remember, before you visit the University of Chicago Library, you will need to speak with your librarian about gaining access and privileges).
Getting Help at the University of Chicago Library
If you need help using the University of Chicago, you can get help from one of our many reference librarians. Reference librarians can help you search the Library catalog, suggest electronic resources for you to use for your research, and help you navigate the collections.
To speak to a librarian in the Regenstein Library, visit the Ask a Librarian service desk located on the first floor just beyond the entrance gate. In the Crerar Library, the Reference Desk is located on the first floor off the main atrium, through the glass doors to the right of the entry gate. You can also e-mail a University of Chicago librarian. Just click on the Ask a Librarian links on the Library's Web site.
