Laboratory School

Access to Computers

The Library has many computers available throughout the Library. Students who use the computers must log in with a CNetID. Wireless internet access is also available to users with a CNetID.

Printing

Each library, with the exception of the D'Angelo Law Library, has one or more networked laser print stations. You can print from any of the Library workstations to one of the networked print stations.

Black and white printing is $0.10/page. Color laser prints are available on the 1st floor of Crerar and Regenstein and are $0.50/page. A librarian can show you how to buy a copy card or add money to your Library Card to print.

When you are ready to print a document from the computer, you will notice that a dialog box will appear on the screen. Type in a name for the document. Then visit a network printing station and place your copy card or Library Card in the card reader. All of the current print jobs will display on a computer next to the printer. Select the job you would like to print and the printer will tell you the cost. Then just click "Print".

Photocopying

Black and white photocopiers are located in all of the libraries at the University of Chicago. The cost is $0.15/per page using a copy card or your Chicago Card with money added onto it from one of our vending machines. Without a card, copies cost $0.15 a page.
