"Ready at Hand" Tools to Support Research Assignments
If your schedule or syllabus does not allow for an in-person library instruction session for your course, the Library has several "ready at hand" tools for Chalk that can help your students learn more about library resources and research skills.
- Ask a Librarian Module for Chalk
Connect your students to the Library's Ask a Librarian IM/Chat service directly from your Chalk course site by adding our module.
- Subject Guides
Link to our guides recommending library resources for various disciplines. Our subject guides include contact information for our subject specialist librarians/bibliographers.
- How do I find? Guides
Link to our guides to locating specific types of sources, such as newspapers, music, images, data and more.
- Custom Course Guides
Specially designed guides created by our librarians for a specific course or research assignment. Instructors will receive a private URL for their guide.
- Embedded Librarians
Instructors can add a librarian to their course site as a TA so that librarians can become a "presence" in the class. The librarian's involvement can be defined by the instructor.
