Punctuation and spacing must match entries exactly; however, an ampersand (&) must be replaced by a period when searching (e.g., to find Ink & colors enter Ink . colors). Uppercase AND, OR, and NOT serve as Boolean operators.

Creator: In general, creator consists of names of artists or architects (in inverted order, e.g., WRIGHT, Frank Lloyd) and names of cities in the case of monuments and some buildings and manuscripts. This field is a string search. In other words, realize that entering rome will retrieve "Gerome." To search for Rome enter rome NOT gerome or ^rome.

Title: For paintings and images, enter the title of the work in this field. For architecture, enter the name of the building, room, or a more specific location. Entering monk will retrieve "monkey." To search for monk enter monk NOT monkey.

Accession Number: The accession number is the unique six digit number by which a slide is tracked. This field requires an exact match.

Course Number: Enter the instructor and/or course number to find slides for a particular course (e.g., Neer or Neer 20400).
