Q&A on the new policy prohibiting drinking and eating in the Library
Due to increased rates of COVID-19, the Library has put a new policy in place that prohibits drinking and eating in all public spaces, except for drinking from water fountains and eating in Ex Libris Café in Regenstein Library.
Library hours January 9-22; MLK Day holiday
Libraries will operate on a revised schedule January 9-22 while classes are being offered remotely. In addition, all campus libraries will be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 17.
Major system migration is underway, affecting checkout and Paging & Pickup
From Jan. 14-16, checking out materials from campus libraries and retrieval of books from Mansueto Library will take more time than usual due to a major system migration. Paging & Pickup requests are suspended Jan. 13-17.
Visitor access suspended and eating and drinking prohibited due to increased rates of COVID-19
Beginning Jan. 6, access to library buildings is being temporarily limited to current UChicago students, faculty, and staff.
