Services & Policies Have Changed

Library services and policies on this page have been updated in response to the COVID-19 emergency.

Paging & Pickup

UChicago Lab Schools students enrolled in Grades 10, 11, and 12 may borrow up to 25 items at a time for a standard, quarterly loan period via the Library's Paging & Pickup service.

Students may request Library materials be paged via the Library Catalog and then make an appointment to pick up available items from the outer lobby of Regenstein.

Lab School IDs / Library Cards

Students at the Lab Schools may use their student ID as their Library card. Students must present their student ID to be admitted to the outer lobby of Regenstein to pick up items.

Lab School Students in Grade 9

UChicago Lab Schools students enrolled in Grade 9 are only eligible for Library privileges under special circumstances, if approved by a Lab Schools librarian.

Access to Electronic Resources

Current UChicago Lab Schools students enrolled in Grade 6 and above have both on-campus and off-campus access to online resources.

UChicago Lab Schools students are currently not eligible to access items available online through the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service.

Building Access / Book a Seat

UChicago Lab Schools students are currently not eligible to access Library buildings except to pick up materials via the Paging & Pickup service. UChicago Lab Schools students are not currently eligible to book a study seat in Library buildings.
