Sausage Seasoning

Heller’s seasoning were widely used by major meat packers. They still are. Their spice packages were widely used in the sausage making industry. The illustrations on this Zanzibar Brand package are stereotypes of peoples in “exotic” lands that were common in American popular culture. Note the colorings, pickles, jell, and fly-killer among the items listed on the can. Everything a butcher might need for success.
