Gary Borisy
Gary Borisy, a native of Chicago, earned his B.S. in Biochemistry in 1962 and Ph.D. in Biophysics in 1966 from the University of Chicago. After a long career at Northwestern and other universities, Borisy became Director of the MBL in 2006, serving until 2013. He continues to collaborate with colleagues at the MBL through his study of microbial communities.
