Historical Sketch of the Confectionery Trade of Chicago

Written for the Jobbing Confectioners' Association, this is an antecdotal account of the candy business in the early 1900s in Chicago. While not complete or necessarily accurate, the book offers a personal look at hundreds of candy businesses and the people who owned and operated them. It's "compiled from various authentic sources of information". The advertisements help illustrate the burgeoning Chicago candy scene.
