Home-made Ice Cream and Candy

This 1908 recipe book instructs on candy and ice cream making. Written to guide "the Mistress of the American home" the book claims to have written the recipe instructions "so plain that even the most inexperienced cook will be able to make a tempting array of sweets". Metzgar gives hundreds of recipes for confections like cocoanut [sic.] creams, custards, chews, and caramels.
