GLOW Forum 1 will take place in-person on December 7-9, 2022. The final day, December 9, will be a half day ending at 1:00PM. Applicants selected to participate in Forum 1 will be reimbursed for their travel, lodging, and meals during the forum. The GLOW forum will take place at:

Midway International Airport is 8.4 miles away, while O'Hare International Airport is 24.8 miles.


Visitor Parking provides information about visitor parking options, including locations and fees for parking garages and lots. Free parking is available on the street, but can be difficult to find during the day.


Participants are responsible for reserving their own hotel stays. Some nearby hotels are:

Participants may also opt to stay at a hotel in downtown Chicago within walking distance of a Metra Electric (ME) commuter rail stop, which services the UChicago campus at the 55th-56th-57th Street stop. It is a 13 minute walk to the library.


Participants will arrange their own breakfasts and dinners. Note that the Hyatt Place Chicago-South provides free breakfasts for guests staying at their hotel.

Lunches will be held in the Baker Dining Hall at 5500 S. University Ave. Participants will receive lunch vouchers in addition to their reimbursements that will cover lunch expenses for all three days of the conference.
