“Ponts et chausses, chemins de fer du Centre, de Moulins a Roanne, avant-project:” portfolio with plans and maps, 1846. A portfolio of plans and maps for a railway to be built between Moulins and Roanne in France. There is an index for the portfolio pasted on the inside of the front cover. The first section is a description of the countryside between Moulins and Roanne. It also includes a section on the financial considerations for contructing the railroad. The next section contains tables detailing the geography between the two towns, including the changes in elevation, the types of vegetation, and the specific costs of each part of the project. The next several pieces are maps and plans detailing the geography of the two towns and the area between them.
