Biographical Note

Bess S. Sondel (1894-1971) was a professorial lecturer in Communication at the University of Chicago and served as a consultant in communication for the faculty of the Graduate School of Business at the University from 1957-1959. Sondel was the author of several books, including “Everyday Speech”, “Are You Telling Them?”, and “Speak Up! A New Approach to Communication."

Scope Note

This collection consists of a manuscript of a speech manual by Sondel.
