Copy, Print & Scan
Autumn Quarter 2020 Update
For the 2020 Autumn Quarter, the computer workstations, printers, and scanners in D'Angelo Law Library will not be available for use. Additionally, the Law School computer lab will not be open.
However, Law School students will have access to a printer and scanner in Classroom VI. Please see the Law School Printing and Scanning information below for information about your Law School account for printing and scanning.
Library Copy/Print/Scan Station
The D'Angelo Law Library has a Copy/Print/Scan Station that is part of the University of Chicago's printing service, which also includes other campus libraries, residence halls, and the Arley D. Cathey Learning Center.
See the Printing in the Library video tutorial for a quick introduction.
Adding value to a UChicago Card or Campus Card
To copy, print, fax, or scan, users must first add value online to their UChicago Card or Campus Card, using a debit or credit card (via PayPal).
Eligible users with older library cards may visit the ID & Privileges Office to receive a Campus Card.
Visitors who are ineligible for a UChicago Card or Campus Card may purchase a copy card.
Users may print documents via web printing or from Library computers.
Submitting a print job from laptops or mobile devices (web printing)
Web printing allows users to print to copy/print/scan stations from any computer or mobile device. Users can log in with their CNET ID and password or, for visitors, the PIN number located on their purchased copy cards.
Submitting a print job from Library computers
Users with UChicago Cards or Campus Cards may print to copy/print/scan stations from Library computers by selecting the print option from any print-capable program and selecting the "Secure_Printer on uniflow" printer from the print dialog box. The print driver for the system will automatically install the first time a user logs in to a given Library computer.
Using the Copy/Print/Scan Station

Law School students are given a $195.00 printing credit per academic year (August-July). To print to the Law School printers from your personal laptop, you need to download a print client from the Law School IT page.
Additional information for Law School faculty and students is available on the Law School's Information Technology page.
Microfilm and Microfiche
Materials in microfilm and microfiche formats are located on the 4th floor. Ask the Circulation staff for assistance. A microform reader-printer is available in the Reserve Room on the second floor.
