Checked Out Items
The Checked Out Items screen in My Library Account lets you view all items loaned to your Library account and their due dates, including Interlibrary Loan items. You may also renew eligible items, export items to a citation manager, and sort items.
Renewing Checked Out Items
You may renew all eligible items on your Library account from the Checked Out Items screen.
See Renewing & Returning Items for renewal policies.
Renew All Items
To renew all eligible items, simply click "Renew All Items" at the top of the screen.
All eligible items will be renewed; any items that cannot be renewed will display a message with an explanation (e.g., item has reached renewal limit).
Renew Selected Items
To renew only specific items on your account, select items using the checkbox to the left of each item and then click "Renew Selected Items" at the top of the screen.
Renewal Count and Loan Type
For standard loans, to determine if an item is eligible for renewal, you can view the item's Renewal Count.
- Faculty and other borrowers with annual loans have unlimited renewals on standard loans.
- Ph.D / J.S.D. students have unlimited renewals on standard loans.
- All other borrowers are limited to three online renewals on standard loans.
For items other than standard loans, you can also view the item's Loan Type, which will display the length of the loan and whether it is eligible for renewal.
An item with a loan type of "3 week loan, 1 renewal" and a Renewal Count of "0" can be renewed, whereas an item with a loan type of "11 week loan, 1 renewal" and a Renewal Count of "1" is ineligible for renewal.
Exporting Selected Items
You can export information about selected items to a citation manager. Select items using the checkbox to the left of each item. Then choose the desired format from the "Export" dropdown menu.
Current supported formats are EndNoteWeb, EndNote/Zotero, and BibTex.
Note that "Export" cannot be clicked if no items are selected.
Sorting Checked Out Items
Checked Out Items are sorted by due date by default, with items due sooner (or overdue) displayed first.
You can also sort items by title, author, call number, checkout date, or loan type by choosing the desired option from the "Sort By" dropdown menu.
