The papers of Lloyd and Susanne Rudolph are available for research in the Hanna Holborn Gray Special Collections Research Center. The Rudolphs were professors of political science at the University of Chicago and close collaborators throughout their careers. The couple specialized in South Asian politics, history, and culture.

Nikkei South Side: Japanese and Japanese Americans in Hyde Park and its Vicinity

In 1893 the Japanese Garden in Jackson Park was established and the University of Chicago conferred its first-ever doctoral degree upon Japanese Divinity School student Eiji Asada. This exhibit highlights more than a century of connections between Japanese and Japanese Americans and the University and Hyde Park area. Opening November 1.
