Crerar Computer Search Services

Computer Search Services offers mediated online database searching in all areas of pure and applied science, engineering and medicine. SDI (current update) service is also available, with updates of subject searches provided weekly or monthly, depending on the database. Please contact the Search Analyst for detailed assistance in setting up profiles.

Cost:

Searches are performed on a direct cost-recovery basis for users. The total cost varies depending on the nature of the search (databases searched, time required, complexity of the question).

In addition to the cost of the search(es) conducted please note, there is an additional service fee as follow:

- There is a $50.00 service charge for searches done for the general public
- There is a $25.00 service charge for searches done for Corporate Members
- There is no service charge for University of Chicago Library cardholders
